Jocelyn Proust

Jocelyn’s love of color and design stems back to when she was a young girl. Captivated by the display of bold, graphic patterns seen in the window of the Marimekko store in Sydney, Jocelyn knew then that she would like to be an artist! After studying art at university, Jocelyn had a successful career in advertising and graphic design. Time out to raise her two children allowed Jocelyn time to experiment with many different art forms including ceramics, fabric painting and jewelry making. More recently Jocelyn has been seduced by the limitless possibilities that pattern design provides. Her process usually begins with working in her sketchbook with pen, watercolor or cut paper. The designs are then transformed digitally into patterns and designs. Jocelyn loves a graphic, clean style and loves bright, bold color. Living on the north coast of NSW, Australia, Jocelyn is inspired daily by her beautiful surroundings.
