Tammy Johnson and Avis Shirer are the owners/design team for their company, Joined at the Hip, which was founded nearly nine years ago. Together they have authored 13 books and over 75 individual patterns including a recent release for That Patchwork Place called Alphabet Soup. Their work has appeared in many national magazines as well. They have designed several lines of fabric for Clothworks including the homespun line called, Farmhouse Cottons. The team travels as time allows to teach and lecture on their primitive folk art style.
