It’s about time for Valentine’s Day to roll around. I can’t get enough of that holiday. I love red and pink. I love hearts, candy, sweetness and all that comes with it. And, for any naysayers, it’s not just for people in love–my favorite Valentines come from my Mom! The day will be here before we know it, so I know this kit is a little late to get done for Valentine’s Day proper, but if you hustle, you might be able to get it done. You’ll get a big stack of Hug Me fabric by Sue Zipkin and a pattern to sew it all up called Kiss Me by Meags and Me. My birthday is January 29th I collect heart shaped rocks…I also collect anything that has hearts. I so love this quilt. I got brave and just bought me a sit down long arm Tiara quilting machine for my birthday !!! Now I need some small projects to learn how to use it. I’m new to quiliting even though I watched my grandmother and great aunts when I was a child and I’ve been collecting material and patterns for years. But this year I am dusting off the old Singer and taking a class. I love the pinks and greys and would love to put this on my guest bed where my nieces sleep when they spend the night.

I take care of my 93-yr-old mom which can be very daunting and keeps me from going places like I was used to doing. Having the colors of fabric and the inspiration of my rainbow room, as I refer to it, helps me cope with all the limitations placed on she and I now. My stash is running low and so is the money so it would be wonderful for all these bright colors to find a home with me here in the rainbow room haven.
