Autumn is in full swing and the air is charged in preparation for what’s to come. I’m not just talking about the season, but instead trying to describe the current mood of the Clothworks office. With nearly a week away, it’s a mad dash around here as we prepare to show the latest and greatest at the International Quilt Market in Houston,TX this October 26- 28th, 2013. Our talented & creative team of sample makers and designers have been working at full steam to provide us with delectable samples to show off at Quilt Market. I know it’s only the middle of October, but gosh it feels like Christmas each day as we delight in receiving a new batch of these samples. So when the most recent sample came our way, we thought it’s not nice to be greedy and not show you a sneak peek before Market.
Feast your eyes on these sweet little tuffets designed and made by Carol from Aunties Two Patterns. Aren’t they just the apple of your eye– pint-sized, but loaded with cuteness!! Monster-sized cuteness, that is. Carol had the bright idea of using fabric from our Lil Monster Friends collection by Diane Knott to make her fabulous tuffet pattern, #AT261 A New Take on a Tuffet. As you might know from visiting the Clothworks website, a portion of the profits from Lil Monster Friends fabric will be donated to the wonderful charitable organization, Quilts for Kids, Inc. And the gift just keeps on giving as Carol has generously donated these tuffets for an auction that will be held at Quilt Market this year; the proceeds to continue to benefit Quilts for Kids, Inc. For more information about the auction, make sure you stop by the Quilts for Kids donated booth #1203 to meet Linda, the force behind this marvelous organization. And do stop by the Aunties Two Patterns booth #305, to meet Carol, the talented creator of these tuffets. Last, but not least, don’t forget to place your bids on these adorable tuffets before they get gobbled up!
