If you’ve been browsing the magazine shelves lately, you might have come across the latest Quiltmaker and Easy Quilts magazines. We were very excited to see our fabrics on both covers, with fabulous designs from some very talented pattern designers.
This first one is the January/February 2012 issue of Quiltmaker. The quilt was designed by Bev Getschel and the fabric is from the Smitten collection by Barb Tourtillotte.
This one is theSpring 2012 issue of Easy Quilts and was designed by April Mazzoleni. The fabric is from the Spring Umbrellas collection by Masha D’yans.
What fun! I just loved the scalloped heart borders on the first quilt and the fabric is to-die-for cute. The colors and fabric in the second quilt are fabulous too–and it looks pretty easy to make. Wonderful quilts for an exciting new year!
The holidays are quickly approaching, so hopefully everyone has their sewing projects near completion…right? Here is a quick review of some holiday projects using Clothworks fabrics–fun!
Our fabulously talented Accounting Assistant, Shirl, made these adorable flannel pajamas for her daughter Ashley (on the left) and granddaughter Autumn (on the right). The fabric is from the Roly Poly Penguin Flannel collection by Barb Tourtillotte. The pattern is Kwik Sew 3553. Cute girls, cute pj’s!
Here is our Holiday Celebrations collection by Laurel Burch being featured in the Dec/Jan ’12 issue of McCall’s Quick Quilts.
This quilt is featured in the December 2011 issue of Quilter’s World. A kit is available at Clotilde here. The fabric used is from the Christmas Spirit collection by Diane Knott.
Here’s another one using Christmas Spirit that appears in the Quilting for Christmas Holiday Issue 2011 by The Quilter.
Fun, fun, fun! Are you feeling ho-ho-ho-ish yet? I sure am. The Christmas tree and decorations are up, hot chocolate is being consumed at record rates, festive music is constantly on, and fun holiday outtings are on my calendar. I’ve got a couple magazine project features to show you that use some of our latest fabrics out in the shops now. The first one is using Le Jardin de Papillons by Chris Chun and it appears in the April 2011 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting. This lovely quilt was designed by September Olson and made by Eileen Houchin.
This next project uses the Nature Rhythms collection by Studio.K and appears in the February/March 2011 issue of Quilter’s Home Magazine. The cool quilt design is by Rochelle Martin.
This last project is actually a block design from Quiltmaker Magazine which appeared in their March/April 2011 issue. The block uses the Milly collection by Erin Ries…cute! You can download the instructions for this cute little block on the Quiltmaker site here.

Do you need a fun and easy project to start off the New Year? Look no further than McCall’s Quilting March/April 2011 issue. Stephanie Sims designed this project out of Daily Grind fabric by Barb Tourtillotte. There are four placemats with matching napkins. Look for Daily Grind at your local quilt shop, or order the kit for this project from D’s Sewing Center.

Ok, so there probably aren’t enough days left to finish this holiday gift project, but this quilt kit could make a great gift for a special quilting friend! This is the European Feathered Star quilt from the November/December issue of Fons and Porter’s Love of Quilting. Isn’t it gorgeous? The fabrics are from the European Taupe IV collection by Kinkame.
